6 pier challenge for CFK

Friday 29th July at 5am will see Paul Harris & Tony Browne run 16 miles from Hastings Pier to Eastbourne, when the pair arrive they will then jump on their bikes and cycle 50 miles down to Bognor Regis Pier.

When Paul & Tony safely arrive they will then join up with Peter Allatson, Duncan Bolam, Yves Watt and Jenny Hooper to start the final and toughest leg of the Journey by swimming 65 miles back to Hastings Pier.

Thank you to Steven Hayward who will be the support driver on the run/cycle.

The team are dong this to raise the much needed funds to make a difference to the local disadvantaged  Children of Hastings & Rother.

They hope to complete the challenge by midday Sunday 31st July 2016 (Weather dependant).

About the team

Over the last couple of weeks the team has changed a lot due to injury/family and work commitments, however as of today we are now finalised.

Paul Harris – C.E.O of Charity for Kids loves taking on various endurance based challenges raising money for the local disadvantaged Children, especially as he has 3 healthy daughters and it’s his way of giving back.


Tony Browne – Tony lives in Eastbourne and has recently completed Ironman Lanzarote,he is a Carpenter by trade and has previously taken part in the Charity Twin Town Cycle Challenge and Hastings – Paris – Hastings bike ride.


Peter Allatson – Peter loves Swimming and is part of the Brighton Sea Swimming Club.


Duncan Bolam – Duncan is also part if the same club as Peter, Duncan is a Career coach/people strategist, inventor and author.


Yves Watt – Yves has previously completed a solo swim across the English Channel and completed the immense swim in a time of just over 12 hours!


Jenny Hopper – Jenny was part of the crew last year when the Charity completed the Three Pier Challenge, this has given Jenny an insight and is aware of the extreme challenge ahead.


Crew – James Hooper is the pilot and team leader of the crew, james will also have the final say over the team if they appear to be struggling.


Charity for Kids would like to thank the swimmers along with the crew for given up their time and money in making this challenge go ahead!
