Charity for Kids aim is to help Disabled, Sick & Terminally ill Children/Families!
Charity For Kids has been set up by Paul Harris & Carl Denne, in September 2011 the pair was joined by Tina Gibbins who has helped drive the Charity forward! The Trio are all from Hastings, East Sussex.
Meet the Team
Paul Harris (Chairman) is married to former Olympic Gymnast (Sydney 2000) Sharna formerly Murray (now Harris) we are blessed to have 3 wonderful daughters Phoebe, Rubie & Lily. Both Paul & Sharna own 1066 Mascots www.1066mascots.com here we hire look alike character Mascots for Kids parties/promotional Events, along with 1066 Mascots Paul is a sales representative within the Dental Industry & is currently working for Wright Cottrell.
Carl Denne (Vice-Chairman) has 2 beautiful daughters (Leigha & Beth) Carl currently works for himself as the owner of Hastings Kickboxing Academy (www.hastings-kickboxing.co.uk) Carl’s door is always open from beginners to experienced Adults & Children. The academy has produced talented students, 3 of which have recently returned from representing England at the world championships in Germany.
Tina Gibbins (Treasurer) is blessed to have 1 Son (Josh) & 1 Daughter (Lily), Tina has recently passed her NVQ 3 in accountancy & is about to start a home course in Business Studies, Tina loves being a Mum and helping out for her local School on the PTA.
FUND RAISING!
On the left hand side you will see our current fund raising thermometer, alongside trying to raise funds for Amber-Rose Sims we are desperate to register with the Charity Commission, to achieve this we need a total of £5,ooo.oo.
Charity for Kids has now raised £5,000.00, in Janurary 2012 we will submit our paper work to the Charity Commission & wait to gain our Charity Registration Number (Fingers Crossed). Now we have reached our target our next aim is to keep Fund Raising, the more money we raise the more Children/Families we can help!
To help raise funds Paul will be embarking on a number of 10K running events (Click on Get Involved) including some half marathons, Paul will be taking part in the Sussex Marathon in April 2012. Since May 28th 2011 Paul has managed to run over 620 miles in order to get in to shape ready to help with this great cause.
Charity for Kids have recently raised £800.00 following a very successful Sponsored Sparring morning at Hastings Kickboxing Academy (www.hastings-kickboxing.co.uk).
We will be attending Car Boot Fairs to help raise funds, so if you have any unwanted good quality items please let us know on the contact page.
We at CFK are keen to help with children/families from around the Hastings, St Leonards on Sea, Bexhill & Battle area (Although our aim is to be able to help the Children/families with charity throughout the UK).

Friday 16th December 2011saw Charity for Kids hit the figure of £5,000.00, the forms will be prepare & sent to the Charity Commission at the begining of Janurary 2012, 3 Months later we hope to recieve our Charity Number. Until then we are working hard to keep raising funds to help more local Children throughout the Hastings, St Leonards, Bexhill, Battle & Surrounding Areas
